Daryl E. Lloyd Jr.
President & Managing Partner
Daryl E. Lloyd Jr. is the President and Managing Partner of Lloyd Insurance Agency, a firm he co-founded in 2014 alongside Daisia and Tamara Lloyd. Since assuming leadership in 2018, he has driven the agency’s strategic growth, operational discipline, and client-first philosophy — positioning the firm as a trusted partner for individuals, families, and business owners seeking comprehensive and intelligently structured insurance solutions.
With decades of experience in consulting and business operations, Daryl brings a strategic, analytical framework to risk management. For more than a decade, he has advised clients on aligning coverage with exposure, ensuring protection strategies are both cost-efficient and forward-thinking. His approach emphasizes precision, education, and long-term relationship building.
Prior to leading Lloyd Insurance Agency, Daryl spent nearly a decade at a leading government relations firm, where he oversaw the research division and business operations. In that capacity, he managed high-level strategic initiatives, built operational systems, and led teams in complex policy environments — experience that now informs his executive leadership in the private sector.
Daryl earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. While there, he competed on the nationally ranked debate team and was elected to serve two terms as Undergraduate Student Body President — distinctions that reflect his longstanding commitment to leadership and disciplined advocacy.
A proud resident of Edgewater Park, New Jersey, Daryl serves as Vice President of the Edgewater Park School Board and is President of the African American Alumni Association at St. Joseph’s Preparatory School (Class of 2003). His civic engagement underscores a leadership philosophy grounded in service, accountability, and institutional stewardship.

Tamara Chatman Lloyd
Founding Partner
Tamara Chatman Lloyd is Co-Founder of Lloyd Insurance Agency and brings more than two decades of experience in the insurance industry, along with over 25 years of leadership in the home finance and mortgage sector.
Throughout her insurance career, Tamara has worked with several major national carriers, including Farmers Insurance, Allstate Insurance, AAA Insurance, and Progressive Corporation. Her depth of carrier experience allows her to understand underwriting nuances, policy structure, and product positioning at a high level — insight she leverages to secure well-aligned coverage solutions for clients.
In addition to her insurance expertise, Tamara has spent a quarter century in the home finance and mortgage industry, working with respected national institutions including PHH Mortgage, Cendant Morthage, Freedom Home Mortgage, and Wells Fargo. Her extensive background in mortgage operations and lending provides her with a comprehensive understanding of property risk, escrow structures, and the critical role insurance plays in protecting homeowners and lenders alike.
Tamara’s professional approach is grounded in precision, service, and advocacy. She is known for guiding clients through complex decisions with clarity and care, ensuring they understand their options and feel confident in their coverage.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Tamara is a lifelong member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Burlington, New Jersey, where her faith and community involvement remain central to her life. She is also a longtime supporter and advocate of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, reflecting her commitment to service beyond business.
